The Dräger Interlock® 7500 is a breath alcohol ignition interlock device. After a breath alcohol measurement, it prevents alcoholized drivers from starting the vehicle engine. The Interlock 7500 is very quickly ready for use. The device can also be equipped with a camera and/or a GPRS module depending on customer requirements. The Interlock 7500 consists of two components: the handset and the control unit. The breath sample is analysed in the handset. The control unit releases or blocks the vehicle's starter relay. As soon as the driver switches on the vehicle's ignition, the Interlock 7500 prompts him to perform a breath test. If the device detects an alcohol level above the set limit, it reliably prevents the engine from starting. The device helps to systematically eliminate the risk of alcohol-related accidents and to prevent driving under the influence of alcohol.
